A green pool means algae has taken over, and it will not fix itself. The water has to be shocked hard enough to kill the bloom, the dead algae has to be brushed off every surface and filtered or vacuumed out, and the filter itself has to be cleaned, because it is now full of everything you just killed.
Once the water clears, chemistry has to be rebalanced and kept there, or the green comes right back. Badly neglected pools sometimes need a drain and chlorine wash instead. If your pool has gone green, we do this every week. Call or text 480-228-5743 and we will get it back to blue.
